VIVANESS 2024 – Transformation and inspiration for the future of the natural and organic cosmetics sector

VIVANESS 2024 focuses on product diversity, trends and innovations, as well as knowledge transfer and networking.

From 13–16 February 2024, VIVANESS will bring international representatives of the natural and organic cosmetics community to Nuremberg for the international trade fair for natural and organic cosmetics and personal care. It will take place in tandem with BIOFACH, the world's leading trade fair for organic food. Participants can look forward to an extensive range of expertise, inspiration and trends and the collective power of innovation. All natural and organic cosmetic products presented by the exhibitors must meet strict eligibility criteria.

“In February, we are expecting around 200 international exhibitors at VIVANESS. The diverse range of products on display, as well as the congress and accompanying supporting programme, show just how innovative and inspiring natural and organic cosmetics and personal care can be,” explains Danila Brunner, Executive Director VIVANESS and BIOFACH. “Thanks to the mix of young companies and pioneers from the sector, the exhibition provides an overview of the trends currently driving the market and the issues that will be relevant in the future!”


Innovations and trends

VIVANESS is the first port of call for new products and niche brands in the natural and organic cosmetics and personal care sector.

Participants will find a concentration of these products, for example, at the “Young Innovators” pavilion, where ten young German companies will present themselves and their products. The pavilion is subsidised by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK).

However, international trends also get their fair share of attention. The special show Breeze is dedicated to young, trendy newcomers and small manufacturers from the international arena.
Overall, there are many fledgling companies exhibiting at VIVANESS, bringing a breath of fresh air and inspiration to the entire sector with their innovative products.

Another drawcard for trends is the VIVANESS Novelty Stand, where there will be a display of new products registered by visitors. Not only is this a place for visitors to gain inspiration, but on all three days of the event they will have time to vote for their favourite product in seven categories. The winners will be presented with the Best New Product Award at VIVANESS on Friday 16 February 2024. All visitors, exhibitors and media representatives are cordially invited to attend the awards ceremony.

The comprehensive supporting programme provides inspiration for the future. Here too, trends and innovations play a key role. The Trend Tour, for example, provides a thematic overview. In 2023 it was still exclusively reserved for media representatives and content creators, but in 2024 it will also take interested visitors to selected exhibitors and their trending products for the first time. There will also be input on the trade fair trends highlighted by industry experts and VIVANESS.


Networking and knowledge transfer

Alongside the wide range of products, VIVANESS offers countless opportunities for personal exchanges and knowledge transfer. The VIVANESS CONGRESS, for example, puts the spotlight on the defining issues of the future and on industry news. In presentations by experts and panel discussions, participants look to the future and provide multifaceted information on topics such as market and trade, political issues, the content creator economy, certification, and many more.

In 2024, the interactive workshop area will also be back with interesting content in a total of six modules. The focus here is on a thematic deep dive - working out solutions together, providing impetus, exchanging ideas and networking. The topics covered by the modules include sustainable packaging or the use of artificial intelligence in the cosmetics market.


VIVANESS digital

The VIVANESS Website has had a new design since summer 2023 and now offers even more orientation. The new structure helps with trade fair preparations, while the “Knowledge and Inspiration” section provides current impetus on the topics and trends dominating the natural and organic cosmetic sector. This is where to find information on the supporting programme, exhibitors and their products, news about the trade fair and the beauty industry, and a whole lot more.

VIVANESS 2024 will take place on site in Nuremberg and online on the digital event platform (VIVANESS digital). Parts of the congress and supporting programme will be streamed live and will be available as on-demand videos for several months afterwards. These items are marked accordingly in the programme. VIVANESS digital helps participants to plan their visit efficiently. The relevant networking tools and onboarding function will be enabled shortly before the event.
