The mission and incentive for the start-up of farfalla (Ital.: butterfly) in 1982 was to help people feel happy and healthy with the power of plants. As Swiss pioneers in pure natural essential oils and certified organic and natural cosmetics, the owner-managed enterprise stands for ecological, sustainable business activities with respect for mankind and nature.

Social Commitment and Longstanding Organic Partners all over the World

The respect for nature and its resources and the trust in and appreciation for the local people are first priority when cooperating with growers all over the world. The result is raw materials in best organic quality. The farfalla label “grand cru” is awarded to organic producers for their social commitment: for example those in India and Morocco who strengthen the position of women or the farfalla project in Madagascar supporting over 2000 small farmers or the women in the South of France living in a poor region who carry out wild harvesting, thereby preserving an old tradition.

Processing and Production: Made in Switzerland

Both GMP certified Swiss production sites in Zurich and Jura guarantee highest competence and most modern processing under strict control. Substantiated expertise in aromatology and highest quality standards have not gone unnoticed: for over 30 years farfalla has been Swiss market leader for aromatherapy and its products.
