Son Moragues extra virgin olive oil is made in October from the very first olives of the season, with young green fruit which guarantees flavoursome fresh and aromatic oil with extremely high nutritional value and low acidity (0.22º). These olives are harvested from our best trees, located on the flattest, sunniest and deepest lands. Trees which are treated with extra special care, being pruned with great delicacy in winter and pampered during summer with an exclusive treatment of powdered clay which is applied to the leaves to protect them from the abrasive sun of the sweltering Mediterranean summer and the plagues of the bactrocera oleae fly that decimate organic olive crops all over the Mediterranean on a yearly basis.
Tasting note: Son Moragues organic extra virgin olive oil has medium to strong green fruitiness. It has a flavor reminiscent of almond, green grass and tomato with distinctive touches of olive leaf and apple as well slight flashes of banana. In mouth it is very balanced with medium bitterness and spiciness.
