5,000 kg dried leaves of lemongrass
15250 euro of turnover expected
We plant rhizomes of lemongrass, which perennially give the edible leaves.
The mature leaves are harvested by cutting 5 cm off the ground with a knife. Once the cut is complete, the dry leaves should be carefully separated from the green leaves.
The green leaves are washed with salt water, chopped into 2 cm pieces and then dried in a gas oven. It is a dehydration up to a loss of 75% water in the leaves of lemongrass. A finished product is obtained which preserves the green color of the lemongrass leaves without losing the nutritional and therapeutic qualities.
The dried leaves obtained are packaged according to the prescriptions of the customer.
