Now, for the first time, a few restricted wild harvest areas have been certified as organic. Tonkabeans are native to Venezuela, but over the decades they have also spread to Brazil. Our tonkabeans are collected by the Quilombolas in the forests of the Amazon, which means they come from certified organic wild harvest in Brazil. Even a tiny pinch of our tonkabean will add an unbelievably intense flavour of vanilla, almond and marzipan. You can use this blend of flavours to season both sweet and savoury dishes. Use the sugar as a sophisticated topping and to flavour desserts. The tonkabeans in sugar come in a stackable flavour-seal tin (50 g). Each jar contains two to four tonkabeans, depending on the size of the beans.
