CEPOTX – Cooperatives Union for Organic Production from the Transamazonica and Xingu Region, is situated in the city of Altamira, in the State of Pará, in the middle of the Brazilian Amazon. Founded in 2014, the Union integrates four regional cooperatives from the municipalities of Pacajá, Vitoria do Xingu, Brazil Novo and Uruará.
The around 178 producer families involved in the cooperatives produce high quality fermented and organic cocoa beans on their farms certified by IMO.
The Union is dedicated to the promotion of cooperativism and sustainable family farming, by strengthening the small producers’ organizations and offering technical assistance, disseminating the principals of organic production and good production practices. We have established a quality control e traceability system and promote also the Fair Trade Certification among our members.
Our cocoa beans are naturally fermented in wooden boxes and solar dried, which guarantees our excellent and internationally recognized quality.
