100% organic for everyone!
Don’t panic, the future is organic.
As early as the mid-1980s, Hans-Paul Mattke called attention to the doubtful quality of industrially produced food. The desire to provide as many people as possible with good food led to the founding of MOIN Bio Backwaren.
Since then, MOIN has been producing delicious baked goods and fine doughs using only the best ingredients. The long resting time - 8-24 hours depending on the product - ensures freshness, excellent digestibility and the development of all those flavours that make a good bread, roll or croissant a real pleasure - of course without using any technical enzymes. The assortment is constantly expanding and by now also includes many vegan products.
Regionality and sustainability are a matter of course at MOIN. This is evident, for example, in projects such as "1000 cows for MOIN", a cooperation to strengthen regional value chains, or the renunciation of palm oil. The topic of bioplastics is also being dealt with intensively. The use of deep-freeze technology enables a sustainable way of working: A 5-day work week without night shifts is an unusual schedule for a bakery.
In 2018, MOIN grew almost threefold in size, with the company being able to further improve its energy efficiency thanks to a CFC-free refrigeration system equipped with heat recovery. Three electric vehicles and four electric charging stations are indicators of the fact that electro-mobility is an integrated part of the company's everyday life.
Looking towards the future, MOIN is taking the middle path between manufacture and industry – manual artisan processes with the help of modern technology – believing that the dream of "100% organic for everyone" can become reality…
