Our mill is situated in North Germany about 60 miles south of Hamburg. We have been milling organic and bio-dynamic grain here since 1969, originally on a stone mill on the farm. The stone mill is still in use but over the last ten years we have added a new modern mill and a dedicated gluten free mill.
The main flour mill is specially designed to mill a wide variety of flours from classic wholemeal through to white plain and strong flours. Customer specific flours for industrial use, for bakeries and for export markets are a welcome challenge for our highly trained and experienced millers.
To ensure maximum flour quality we buy and store our grain in small batches. Each batch is thoroughly analysed in our laboratory to ensure we match the best raw materials to the different finished products.
Full traceability is guaranteed. We still source most of our grain from farmers cooperatives in North Germany, thus carrying on the ideals of the bio-dynamic farmers who originally founded our company back in 1969 as a marketing organisation for regional bio-dynamic grain.
Our packaging lines
Having made a name for ourselves in the German organic food market with all kinds of baking mixes and vegetarian and vegan mixes we started looking a few years ago for something new to further develop our production skills and extend our product range. Milling, mixing and packaging is what we are good at, so we installed a dedicated gluten free mill, a packaging line and a gluten free laboratory.
Experts for glutenfree production
That all our gluten free products are 100% organic goes without saying. However our main criteria when developing new mixes is that they taste just as good as the “normal” mixes. Gluten free is “just” an added bonus. In addition to our own range of gluten free products we work closely with customers all over the world to develop customer specific recipes and products. We have 6 packaging lines running at our main site and 1 line in our dedicated gluten free area. With over 45 years of experience in packing organic flour in paper bags, a tried-and-tested system of labeling in any language imaginable and top-of-the-range packaging technology for both printed and transparent PP-bags we can pack nearly anything.
All our production facilities are IFS certified at higher level so we can guarantee to comply with most legal requirements for food production. Throughout all production processes low allergen content is an important factor. Since 2014 our environmental management system is EMAS registered.
