The company UFENAL produces following varieties of Red Lentils:
- Red Football Lentils
- Red Split Lentils
The Red Football Lentils (also known as: Footballs) are made from the Whole Red Lentil. The husk is removed from the lentil, leaving the inside portion of the seed whole. The result is a beautiful orange polished Lentils.
Spilt Red Lentils (also known as: Lentille, Lense, Lenteige, Masoor, Mercimek or Saabat Masoor) are oil polished or unpolished which are made by splitting the whole red lentil. The husk is removed and the remaining orange seed is split into two halves.
