Berief Food GmbH
Enjoy the greener side of life!
Berief has been a pioneer of plant-based enjoyment for thirty years. Founding a medium-sized company dedicated solely to the manufacture and production of plant- and especially soya-based foods in 1985 (when just 0.6 per cent of the German population was vegetarian) required a good portion of entrepreneurial courage from Hermann Berief.
Organic tofu, drinks and soya yoghurts, enhanced with refined recipes for plant-based enjoyment – the products offered by Berief Food GmbH guarantee delicious nutrition whatever the time, whether as a main meal, snack or lunch in the office. As an authentic, family-run business based in Beckum, Berief Food embarks upon pioneering paths through creative research and the production of plant-based foods. The entire range is developed, produced, filled, packed and distributed from our headquarters in Beckum, Westphalia.
Plant-based nutritional ideas
As a nutritional expert, Berief Food GmbH provides high-quality, modern products, many of which are naturally vegan.
From Beckum, the products are exported to 23 countries and comply with the highest international standards.
Alongside the food retail sector, the family-run company also focuses on industry and system catering.
Highest organic quality from regional suppliers
Berief Food GmbH procures the raw materials used to make our tofu and oat and spelt drinks from Naturland. After all, the company opts for regionality, first-class organic quality and short routes in the delivery chain. Naturland is one of the most important and largest certification organisations for quality in organic agriculture.
In order to ensure optimal product safety, Berief meets the stringent requirements of the International Featured Standards Food (IFS) – the certification developed by the German Retail Federation (HDE) together with representatives from the food retail sector.
