It can be ingested in food supplements or through foods that contain it; Lactobacilli are an example of functional ingredient, they are commonly found in yogurt, but the disadvantage of this type of functional ingredient is their short lifecycle due to the processes that they undergo during testing and the time spent when it is on store shelves or cooling.

Agave syrup is an organic sweetener, 1.3 times sweeter than table sugar with a low GI. (Glycemic Index). The glycemic index is an indicator that measures the speed with which the body absorbs sugar from food and releases it into the bloodstream. Foods with a low GI involve a slow and gradual absorption of the sugars, avoiding sudden changes in the levels of sugar in the blood.
A diet with low GI food would not only help maintain stable levels of sugar in the blood, but also favors appetite control thereby facilitating a more balanced diet with all the health benefits that this entails.
