Simple and tasty bakery products, suitable as accompaniment to your favourite dishes but also as a snack at any time of the day: this is the brand La Buona Terra with breadsticks and snacks, prepared with artisan methods combining tradition and innovation.
The brand La Buona Terra has been created by Grissinificio Europa, a producer with more than 20 years of experience in bakery. Grissinificio Europa is based near Alba, in the heart of the Langhe area of Piemonte (North West of Italy).
In 1990, Carlo and Teresa Mosca, with the harmony and the audacity of a young couple, decided to found a new project of their own, using the knowledge gathered in previous bakery job experiences.
From the beginning, Carlo and Teresa decided to combine experience, tradition and innovation, with the goal to continue the new product research & development, based on their commitment to genuine quality.
Target: to prepare good and tasty handcrafted products, choosing only selected top quality raw materials, such as extra virgin olive oil obtained only by the cold pressing of Italian olives.
Ever since, the commitment to the consumer has been essential, which is expressed through the creation of recipes to satisfy different tastes.
Ten years after the foundation, in 1999, the focus on the consumer and to the environment leads to a turning point in the history of Grissinificio: the company starts to produce also in Organic quality, certified by Bioagricert.
This is an important development, which combines the desire to maintain the artisan nature of the product, even with the increase in production volumes.
The attention to Quality is definitively important for us: from the selection of raw materials to the creation of recipes, a guarantee for those who buy the products. The suppliers are carefully selected and provide a controlled supply chain of all production stages, with analysis on raw materials and quality control of the finished product.
We continue to prefer the raw materials of Italian origin.
Further to quality raw materials, time is an essential ingredient of our breadsticks, baked snacks and flatbread crackers: with long rising of the dough, so to achieve unique natural fragrance and friability, further to a being highly digestive.
Five "A" represent our working method:
Artisan, the watchword;
Accuracy, in the selection of organic raw materials;
Anticipation, because the handcrafted dough will develop naturally all the fragrance with respect of the natural process; the breadstick is slowly baked at the right temperature;
Avant-garde, because the traditional production methods fit perfectly with technological innovation, essential support for the creation of quality products;
Application, because the criteria and procedures dictated by the regulations for the safety of food products, are adopted and systematically controlled by accredited certification bodies.
In 2009, the company obtained the IFS (International Food Standard) and BRC Higher Level (British Retail Consortium) Grade A which validates the quality system; furthermore, we have obtained also the Kosher certification.
In 2010 Grissinificio Europa moved to its current purpose built factory & headquarters in Corneliano d'Alba, just 6 km away from the factory where all begun and which is going to be converted into gluten-free.
Grissinificio Europe is dynamic and moving, always open to new experiences and ready to enter new markets. We are actually exporting to almost all continents.
The challenge for the future is to continue to make crafted products, creating new clean-label recipes for any Customer exigencies.
