Cold pressed, freshly milled “Virgin Coconut Oil” with a delicate coconut flavor, traded fairly in Sri Lanka from a Naturland project. This virgin coconut oil is a speciality among the virgin coconut oils as it is pressed from the whole coconut including its brown skin. It, therefore, contains more valuable ingredients and has a characteristic nutty coconut flavor. Coconut oil can be heated to high temperatures but is also a good alternative to butter or margarine.
For frying, baking, deep fat frying, for braising and as a spread.
