In 1974, Walter Lang founded the Allos Farm as a self-sufficiency project. To this day, it is at the heart of Allos' manufacturing and also of the new Allos Hof-Manufaktur which entered a new era on 01st May 2014. As one of the leading producers in the organic wholefood market, we offer consumers and retailers a large range of traditional brands under one roof. On the idyllic Allos Farm in Drebber, the pioneering spirit of the founders of these renowned brands lives on. Here, we foster innovative strength and the exchange of ideas and produce high-quality foods.
Strong traditional brands for nature and the family
The Allos Hof-Manufaktur provides strong brands, such as Allos, which for 40 years has been standing for pure, varied wholefoods, and Tartex, the mother of vegetarian pâté. Our world brand also includes Dr.Ritter, natural nutrition expert since 1952, the de Rit brand, which was founded in 1970, as well as SESAMSTRASSE and the English brand Cupper, which offers organic and fairtrade teas of the highest quality.
The heart of Allos Hof-Manufaktur
The Allos Farm forms the cultural core of our newly created organisation and is characterised by its diverse employees and wide range of brands. Wholesalers and shop owners meet here for seminars and to engage with invited experts. For our 250 employees, the Allos Farm is a place to exchange ideas, where we hold our internal training programmes and courses and express our common identity. Moreover, it’s the birthplace of our organic originals by developing new and innovative ideas.

Allos Hof-Manufaktur stands for around 250 people, each one of whom is an expert in his field. This diversity of accumulated organic know-how makes us one of the leading suppliers to the wholefood retail industry.
Whether we are developing classic organic products, volunteering on environmental projects or eating our meals in the organic farm kitchen at the Allos Farm: What we do, we do as a team. Responsibility towards man and nature is a matter close to the heart of each employee at Allos Hof-Manufaktur.
New organic classics from the “culinary smith”
Right from the very beginning, Allos Hof-Manufaktur has invested first and foremost in its innovative strength. Take, for example, our new “culinary smith”. In an old half-timbered building, the site of Allos production for decades, space was created in 2014 for product development, sensory analysis, an experimental kitchen, as well as a small-scale model production area. This creative hub is set to be the birthplace of all new products in our brand world. With the customary ingenuity which led to the discovery of amaranth and agave syrup and enabled the creation of vegetarian patés and a host of classic organic products.
Whether for fruit bars, spreads or any other tasty foods, the high-quality raw materials used for the in-house developed products are processed particularly gently using artisan methods. Ninety per cent of our products are made on the premises – on the Allos Farm in Drebber and in environmentally conscious Freiburg, Allos Hof-Manufaktur’s second production site.
