AUGA group is Europe’s biggest organic food producer from field to shelf. It operates nearly 33 000 hectares of organic agricultural land in Lithuania, producing over 75 thousand tons of grains and rapeseed (2015), 26 thousand tons of milk from more than 3 500 certified organic cows, and growing over 11 500 tons of mushrooms and vegetables annually, with total revenue of 47.4 million EUR (2015). In the recently built state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, we produce a wide range of organic consumer products: fresh and preserved mushrooms and vegetables. From the middle of 2017 the packaged consumer goods line will be extended with various preserved legumes, soups, dairy and grain products. AUGA group’s shares are traded on Vilnius and Warsaw stock exchanges.
For us it is important that our food is organic and produced in most sustainable way. Therefore, we take particular care of the land and do not contaminate it with any chemicals. Instead, we naturally enrich it through crop rotation and feed the soil only with organic fertilizers. This way, the land becomes more fertile, resistant to weeds and erosion, so that we can proudly pass it to future generations.
In AUGA farms we use modern machinery, apply the latest organic farming technology, and invest in our own research and development. We follow the closed loop principle – our activities supplement each other. Organic grain and plants are used for cattle feed and straw goes to mushroom compost. Livestock manure is used to fertilize crops and to make compost. Later, it also becomes fertilizer for crops.
Our range of preserved consumer products is produced at the most innovative and modern canning factory in the Baltics, with fully automated production processes. We take process control from field to final pack that ensures freshness and quality of all our products. AUGA preserved vegetables, mushrooms and soups are natural, with no preservatives added, most of them allergen free and vegan friendly. They are packed into innovative light-weight pouch pack which is proven to have significantly less CO2 emission during the product lifecycle compared to a glass jar or metal can of the same size. AUGA production is accredited with Organic EU certificate and BRC Global Standard for Food Safety.
