The extra virgin olive oil is obtained from olives, the fruit of the olive tree. Its existence dates back over 6000 years having been, its use and trade, a mighty source in the Mediterranean culture ever since. Our premium brand “Camino de Anibal” is certified both organic and extra virgin olive oil. They are 100% cold-pressed, within the three hours after they olives are collected, on the mill and thus preserve the highest levels of favour and nutrients.
Our oil is manufactured in "El Azaraque" a family–run state land located in the borough of Hellín, Spain. Hellín is a well-known site for its olive-oil manufacturing and high quality farming products. This tradition dates back many centuries tracing to the existence of an ancient Almazara [olive-oil mill] among the pre-Iberian settlement sited in the village of Tolmo de Minateda (1500 B.C.). For several centuries, this farm has belonged to the same family, with all labels bearing its coat of arms It has largely been restructured into both conventional and organic growing of arbequina, picual and hojiblanca olives on drip irrigation. Our widely praised oils are the result of the great care exercised in milling and blending using sustainable methods and hand-picked harvest at the optimum ripeness rejecting all fruit that fall onto the ground.
