The story of our natural cosmetics started from the real friendship and real berries. We were two young mums creating fresh masks and creams by hand for our families and ourselves, not knowing where this road would take us. We used forest berries and green herbs, which has not only been an important part of our cosmetics, but also of our childhood.
When more people started to ask where to buy our cosmetics, we were not surprised. We are from the Baltics and here we believe in the magic of nature. Have you ever seen our vast green forests dotted with colourful berries? Have you ever strolled along our wild sand beaches and found a piece of amber filled with the energy of the sun and the sea? We did, and we used this experience to create our fresh natural “Uoga Uoga” cosmetics line (by the way, its name means “Berry Berry” in Lithuanian).
Creating our cosmetics we choose only natural unrefined oils of the highest quality, clays, flower waters, honey and herbs, which help nourishing the skin and hair gently and effectively. Our mineral make-up line is made of natural minerals and is enriched by an exclusive ingredient from the Baltic sea- precious unmodified amber. Long time ago Baltic women believed that wearing amber necklaces can stop their ageing process. Now we know from the research that amber acid has plenty of antioxidants for real fight against premature skin ageing.
As we expanded and improved, eventually in the spring of 2015 the quality of our cosmetics was evaluated by one of the strictest natural and ecological products’ control organizations and we received the “Soil Association COSMOS Natural” certificate.
Even though now we are one of the leading natural cosmetics manufacturers in Lithuania, we still produce all our cosmetics by hand in small batches, so that it’s always fresh. We still make our own recipes, aromas and design. Our husbands help us build the new shop stands. All our names are thoroughly chosen to brighten your mood. And we even put our own short poems on some of the products. We take “Uoga Uoga” personally and probably that’s what makes us special. Oh, and we still use real berries!
