It is clean and it has red purple color of high intensity.
It has high aromatic intensity. It brings notes of strawberry yogurt, rapsberry with a banana background which is typical of the carbonic maceration elaboration.
In the mouth entry it is sweet, clean and balanced. Its persistence is of medium intensity. It is easy to drink and it has a strong fruity character.
It is ideal to pair with rice, pâté, meat, game and cured cheesed. TEMPERATURE AND OPTIMAL CONDITIONS
We recommend drinking this wine within 2 years after its elaboration. Its ideal serving temperature is 15ºC.
The vineyards for the elaboration of our wines are strictly selected following their age, low productivity and health. The harvest was carried out with 100 kgs cases.
We have more than 2000 has to select the best grapes of every vintage.
It has been made from our native variety, the Garnacha Tintorera, which gives to our wines singularity as well as color and structure. The viniﬁcation is carried out by carbonic maceration to obtain a young wine with a very good aromatic intensity, of fast consumption which is pleasant to drink after the ﬁrst months of its bottling.
It has been fermented to 28ºC with a contact time with entire grape of 8-9 days. Then, it ﬁnished the fermentation in concrete tanks to a controlled temperature of 20ºC. After the malolactic fermentation the coupage is made, to ﬁnish the process with a light clariﬁcation and stabilization by cold. The last step before bottling is an amicrobic ﬁltration to keep all its organoleptic features.

Bodegas Santa Cruz de Alpera was founded in 1947 by 25 winegrowers. Their goal was tocreate a winery to elaborate their own wines and this journey leads us to today.

We aim to keep the cooperative identity; our winery offers unique products due to grow a single variety, Garnacha Tintorera. With about 3.000 hectares cultivated, more than a third in organic farming, the winery meets markets in several countries.
Our fhilosophy is focused on seeking the welfare of the more than 400 associates that currently form our winery, which is one of the main economic engines of Alpera, a small town of 2.500 inhabitants.
our commitment to the enviroment is using the non-invasive vine growing, with more than 1.000 hectares in organic certified production.
To protect and promote our native variety, Garnacha Tintorera, is another part of the base of our philosophy.
The winery has organization led by a governing board who takes the major decisions and three different departments; technical and warehouse staff, finances and management department and the sales team.
Its main duty is to manage all daily operations of the winery, mainly wine sales and investments.
The technical staff is made of a vineyard farming specialist and the winemaker.
Our vineyards is located at an altitud between 900 - 1100 meters. The soils are shallow, calcareous with just a few organic matter, they also have a sandy texture and a limescale which is very suitable to grow quality wines by low yields.
The avarage annual rainfall ranges from 250-300 mm, contentrating these in the seasons of autumn, winter and spring.
