LUCIE is a typical Sicilian name, widespread all over Italy. It comes from Latin and means «bright», «bringer of light».
With this name we have wanted to typify a line of wines with a strong Sicilian character. We start with an innovative organic sparkling white wine, the first project of this kind in Sicily, in line with the new trends of consumption, whose character all the women who bring light to our present and who brought light to our past can reflect in. In whose character all men can find those mothers, sisters, friends who have brought rays of light in their life.
LUCIE is a pleasant wine to taste, it is organic and vegan, authentic and ancestral.
LUCIE is an integral wine, since in it there are all those natural things which have contributed to the winemaking. It is also a free wine: free from free sulphurous, free from added sulphites, free from sugars. Lucie is the perfect alternative to traditional sparkling wines and to beers. A versatile wine, perfect for any occasion.
It is a blend of Lucido, Inzolia and Grillo grape varieties, coming from the hills around the area of Vita (TP), in the centre of Sicily. Grapes are collected by hand in small cases, gently abandoned in press and pressed by using the strict rules of foamy method. Fermentation is made exclusively with the free-run that is only 55% of the corresponding yield of grape must. The first fermentation is made in steel reservoirs at the temperature of 13°for two weeks; then, the wine stops on the noble dregs for two months. Afterward, there is the bottling made by adding lees and sugar for the re-fermentation in bottle with crown cap. Once the re-fermentation is made, the wine is sold by keeping the fermentation lees on the bottom of the bottle. The presence of the lees allows to keep and consume the wine with zero SO2 and zero sugars (it is a classic interrupted method, like a champagne before the degorgement). It is an integral, raw, not filtered and digestible wine. The wine can be served and appreciated cloudy or limpid, by keeping the lees on the bottom of the bottle. Its perlage is gentle and perky, the taste is light and floral. It is fresh and mineral in the mouth.

Samantha Di Laura has an expansive experience in the Italian and international food and wine market. A the age of only 25, she began working as Export Area Manager for Euricom S.p.A. (Curtiriso), the largest European rice company of that period, in charge of the Middle East market and the development of the extra-European one. At the age of 31, she was called to Seville by Ebrofoods (Herba Ricemills), where she deepened the Brand Management and the coordination of a network of international exports. Diego Planeta led her to Sicily in Settesoli Winery, that she left to establish Scirocco Ethical.
In October 2016, she started his own project OLIOVE, with the specific aim of protecting, promoting and spreading the culture of high quality, ethic and sustainable extra virgin olive oil. Sicilian, first of all. A product with unbelievable nutraceutical properties.
Man is always at the centre of our strategies, from the farmer, who requires the fair compensation for his work, to people who use the product to take pleasure and health from it.
Our will is to expand our farm and production, by creating a network of young, ethical and "sustainable" farmers. Our dream is leaving this world a little better than how we have found it.
