Our founder Azeglio, aka “Mister Espresso”, started his journey in the world of quality Coffee back in 1950, and became at once a reference point for many bars in Rome. In the Eighties, Azeglio was helped with the management by his sons and daughter Paolo, Fabio and Monica first, and then by his son-in-law Francesco, who leads today the Roasting company together with Monica. Mister Espresso quality is so treasured by the next generations as a precious asset.

Starting from the concept of a perfect Espresso we have developed, implemented and improved a production process along many years of experience and passionate research. In this exclusive system, it is only through the careful direction of each processing stage that our very high-quality standard can be achieved.
As result for our Company’s long business history in the field of High Quality Espresso Coffee, Caffè Haiti Roma is among the first coffee roasting enterprises in Italy to have strongly wanted and achieved the triple recognition as “Company with integrated DQS Certification”, which includes the Certification of the Quality Management System DIN EN ISO 9001, of the Environment Management System EN ISO 14001, and of the Management System for Health and Safety at the Workplace OH SAS 18001 (it will become ISO 45001 within the next twelve months).
In the early 2000s one of Francesco’s dreams came true: creating a BIO/Fairtrade coffee blend. After long and continued attempts an excellent blend was created, of superior quality, able to comply with our attention to an ethical and sustainable world. We welcomed BioCaffè: 100% Organic, 100% Fairtrade, grown without using non-natural substances and respecting both the environment and farmers.
BioCaffè has been among the first Italian proposals in the delicate world of Organic and Fairtrade, and has reached at once a great success: it has achieved important goals and has been certified by INEI as Italian Quality Espresso, besides winning the Golden Medal at the International Coffee Tasting Asia 2015.
