We have over twenty-years’ experience producing and marketing Fresh Herbs, Baby Leaf Greens, Decorative Flowers and Vegetables.
We set sail back in 1985, and in time, our production volume grew significantly as well as the number of herb varieties in our product portfolio, though we never have forgotten our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. Currently we grow in several places in Spain (Almería, Granada, and Tenerife) and Morocco ( Nador, Berkane, Moulay and Agadir).
If there is one thing of which we can boast, it is that we have been trailblazers in terms of Fresh Herb production and marketing, by offering a wide selection of products, highlighting a few: basil, chives, coriander, mint, dill, flat parsley, curly parsley, , rosemary, tarragon, chervil, bay leaves, oregano, marjoram, peppermint… We also grow baby leaf greens such as wild rocket; decorative flowers and other vegetables depending on the season
Small details turn a regular dish into a delicacy. Though fresh herbs are often underutilized, they can be that small touch that makes a big difference.
It is recommended to briefly cook some herbs when used in sauces. Adding them a few minutes before finishing cooking will allow them to best preserve their aroma and vitamins. It is important to mention that all aromatic ingredients should be used in moderation. Their use in excess can alter the expected outcome of a dish. Heat intensifies herbs’ aroma. They should be used to enhance, not cover up, the taste of the ingredients
Some herbs, such as flat leaf parsley, curly parsley, chervil, dill, coriander, basil, and mint are especially fragrant and tasty when used fresh.
Herbs can stimulate the appetite; aid digestion; reduce gas and possess antimicrobial properties. The effects of a particular herb will vary depending on its plant family’s chemical composition.
These days, more and more varieties of baby leaf greens are making their way into today’s kitchens, adding a touch of flavor and color to our cooked dishes and salads.
