Union srl started its acivity in 1986 in Alberobello, Apulia, Italy, making valuable womenswear. In 2007 the management decided to enlarge the business purpose including food farming and beverage sectors. The basis of Union S.r.l. management culture is the will to produce and sell high quality products. After careful markets researches it came out the opportunity to add quality bakery products to wine, so in 2008 we made the Tarallo (traditional savoury biscuit), under the brand “Nonna Mariangela”.
Tarallo is the main bakery product. It has been on the market since 2008 and from 2010, other bakery products have been introduced, such as Grissinotto, Schiaccina, Friselle, etc.. all products very innovative but always respectful of the tradition.
Thanks to the recipes passed down from grandmother Mariangela, Union produces delicious Taralli and Snacks. As confirmation of this, from 2010 to the beginning of 2017 Alitalia placed our Taralli as snack to be offered to the passengers on board of all its flights.
The production of Tarallo and of the other baked products is very accurate; Union S.r.l. gives special attention to the purchase of the raw materials and their processing.
Mixing, boiling in wraparound water at a temperature of 90°, baking and cooling are consolidated cycles, which assure a homogeneous product, whose fragrance and flavour make Tarallo delicious. Both children and adults can enjoy it, it is the perfect snack during the day and it can be a very good appetizer together with cold cuts, cheese and olives, moreover it is very appreciated together or as substitute of bread.
Union has obtained the Organic, Halal, BRC, IFS, VEGAN, certifications.
The importance of tradition and the ability to develop it without destroying its nature: this the Union’s secret. Its daily love for past traditions and preserving the baggage inherited from ancestors. Without the past Union could not have been born.
The safeguard of the past experiences as starting point for a new business represents new ways of taste; only using high quality ingredients, as required by the local food tradition, to create original flavors full of typical Apulian tastes. They are the synonymous with healthy eating combined with wisdom and respect the fruits of the earth: these are the principles that inspired Union, solid reality that has never stopped putting the center of his universe the search for raw materials of quality and customer satisfaction.

From 2008 to today Union has expanded the range of products in its brand to meet the needs of an increasingly demanding and attentive to the quality in terms of raw materials and processing methods.
Taralli, in many different flavours and sizes, Panetti, Tocchetti, Schiaccine and others are the cornerstone of the Company which always aims to enhance the rural and local culture and food of Apulia working only with genuine raw materials.
