Founded in 1895 by the couple RE_gina and isi_DORO from whom its name derives, REDORO is artisanal in nature, remaining closely tied tradition while dynamically following current market developments. Passion and the secret for creating Redoro 100% Italian Extra Virgin Olive Oil have been passed from father to son for more than 100 years, leading to the transition in the mid-90’s from a local reality to an international company whose objective is to bring the passion, taste and quality of the REDORO experience to every kitchen and every table in the world.
REDORO is situated in Grezzana, in the heart of the Valpantena valley, just north of Verona: the secret of Redoro’s success is the presence of its olive mills very close to where the olives are harvested: one in Grezzana, headquarters of the Company, another in Mezzane and finally one near Lake Garda where the Extra Virgin Olive Oil Garda DOP is exclusively produced.
The mills work at full speed in the three months of harvest - October, November and December - when olives are collected in the surrounding area, a vast territory that includes seven mountain valleys. Around one thousand agricultural producers bring their best olives to the mills whose annual production tops around 3.000 tons of olives. The production of the oil is rigorously controlled by specialized personnel who carefully follow each processing phase, milling only healthy, quality olives capable of producing Redoro’s excellences.
The oil that comes out of the mills is of an intense green colour with golden reflections with a sweet, fragrant, full-bodied olive taste that is immediately ready to be enjoyed on a slice of toasted bread or any other dish. Even the packaging is well taken care of by REDORO, proven by the choice of a bottle that is branded REDORO and that is aesthetically beautiful as well as functional thanks to its original handle. The love that the family has for the land, which is also found in its way of doing business and in the relationships that it has with every collaborator, is present in the REDORO corporate philosophy, essentially based upon the quality of what the Company produces and the guarantee that it wants to give to consumers.
Throughout its history, the values that guide the Company continue to be those of the past: quality, genuineness and care in even the smallest gesture, from the cultivation of the olives to harvesting by hand to the transformation into Extra Virgin Olive Oil or delectable products like olive paté or specialties preserved in oil.
