Shwe Pan Law Manufacturing Company is a young and dynamic company that was found in the capital of Myanmar, Yangon, in 2010. Not much later the CTC black tea factory was built in Kwan Hai village. This factory has a capacity of producing 200kg of black tea per hour. In 2012, the company launched its first products both domestically and internationally. In 2015, the company invested in another factory, this time for production of fermented tea salad. This factory is now organic and HACCP certified; Control Union certified about 150 tea farmers and the factory since 2016.
Shwe Pan Law Company’s vision is that development of the tea industry should be a joint effort of all stakeholders in the supply chain. The company has run education programs to the farmers, covering tea nurseries, tea processing workshops, and awareness raising related to cultivation practices and food safety.
Since the beginning, Shwe Pan Law Company has continuously worked on improving the quality of its outputs. The company is proud of its exports of 35 tons of pickled tea leaves to the USA. The company’s impressive growth in turnover also benefited the farmers supplying to the factories; their incomes more than doubled.
