Our Farm is located in the volcanic area of the Phlegraean Fields:
Land of Fire bathed by the Mediterranean Sea, where the ancient Greeks met the Etruscans giving birth to the biggest Empire of Human History. Land of Gods and Giants, generous and merciless Mother that showed her magnificent power through the millennia.
Thanks to the high soil fertility, this Land was named “Campania Felix” by the Romans (that means happy countryside) due to the production of unique agricultural products, that still today reflect the gastronomic traditions of Eastern and Western civilizations that lived here. In this Land was built the “Keystone” that even now supports the foundations of civilised human society.
The natural vocation of this territory and the consciousness of our origins make our farm an ambassador of ancient cultures and traditions, through the production of organic vegetables and fruits.
“No place in the World is as splendid as Baia”
Horace (Rome, 65 BC - 8 BC)
“Naples the illustrious, the glory of Italy, famed in the world, the mother of nobility and the land of plenty”
Miguel de Cervantes (Spain, 1547-1616)
“Only in these regions can one understand what vegetation really is and what led man to invent the art of cultivation”
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (Germany, 1749-1832)
“To my eyes this city has no equal and is the most beautiful city in the Universe”
Stendhal (France, 1783-1842)
For these reasons, we define the apples produced in our farm “Deorum”, because since ancient times this fruit fed Gods and wonderful men that still today are a source of inspiration for Universities all over the World.
The farm structures respect every environmental sustainability requirement, with a laboratory for the artisanal processing of vegetables and fruits, in accordance to ancient traditional techniques of Cuman culture. Furthermore, Terra Nostra has a multifunctional organisation and it doesn’t offer just agricultural quality products but even services like:
• Food Education, through cooking classes using the organic and seasonal products of the farm and gastronomical tours of the best Regional traditional sites.
• Environmental Education, through natural and historical itineraries.
• Community Shared Agriculture and Innovation, in collaboration with Schools, Associations and Companies.
