Agriblea firm is placed in the “Val di Noto”, just 2 km far from Ispica (RG) , the ancient Hispicaefundus, on a little hill about 150 meters above the sea level and only 8 km far from the Mediterranean sea. Towns like Noto, Pachino and Pozzallo are at a distance of about 15 minutes only.
The territory has been recognized as UNESCO heritage and it can be proud of very important archaeological, baroque and liberty evidence.
Agriblea firm was born from the love that the owner Giorgio Agosta, better known simply as Gino, has got towards country, together with his stubbornness.
Gino had a dream: to bring on the tables of all over the world the genuine taste of its traditional Sicily, through a niche product : the sun dried cherry tomatoes. He was able to realize his dream thanks to the support and the love received from his family as well as the accurate and punctual work of his staff.
Besides the production of the sun dried cherry tomatoes, the firm is proud to produce also the so called "Ciappa ri pummaroru", that is half tomato of round or oval kind. It is a traditional agro-industrial product recognized by a decree of the Sicilian region, published on the Ordinary Supplement n° 141, enclosed to the Official Gazette n° 200 of 29/08/2003.
The manufacturing process of this special niche item plays a fundamental role: by means of the organic and quantum agriculture and exploiting the particular environmental and climatic conditions, typical of the south-east Sicilian territory, the organoleptic qualities of the product are exalted.
At the same time, the strictest sanitary rules are observed since everything is certified by the referring health authorities, according to the European HACCP rules.
Passion, commitment and respect for those customs belonging to the Sicilian farming tradition are the other ingredients which add a further value and let the tomatoes and the sun dried tomatoes produced by Agriblea be typical and excellent products of Sicily.
